Peter is head of our Commercial Property department. He joined Hill Brown in 1989 having previously been a partner in the Ayrshire firm, McSherry Halliday. A graduate of Glasgow University in 1979, Peter is a leading licensing lawyer, quoted in Chambers directory of legal experts. Peter has many years’ experience dealing with independent and national clients across the range of licensing requirements in Scotland and with their commercial requirements.
Peter is widely interested in The Arts and is currently the Chairman of Scottish Opera , on the board of Glasgow Lunch Time Theatre and The Theatre Royal, Glasgow, a board member of the public art company NVA and a former board member and past Chairman of the Tron Theatre.
He is also the Chairman of KSP which is part of the NVA group. This company was set to the reclaim the future of the former St Peter’s Seminary Complex in Cardross, and provide a public performance space.
