Laura is a Senior Solicitor in the Family Law Department, bringing extensive experience in supporting clients through complex and often sensitive family matters.
Laura completed a specialist traineeship in family law and went on to work for seven years in a busy high-street firm in Hamilton, where she developed significant experience across a wide range of family law issues. She joined the team in March 2026.
Her practice covers matters including separation, divorce, child care and residence, and child maintenance disputes. Laura has successfully represented clients in Sheriff Courts across Scotland, providing clear advice and strong advocacy to help individuals and families navigate challenging circumstances.
In 2022, Laura completed the Trauma-Informed Lawyer Certification Course delivered by the Law Society of Scotland, equipping her with specialist skills to approach family law disputes with sensitivity, empathy, and an awareness of the impact that trauma can have on clients and families.
Laura is a member of the Family Law Association and is actively involved in supporting access to legal advice. She volunteers her time as a solicitor with the Scottish Child Law Centre and the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre, assisting with family law queries and helping individuals access guidance and support.
