Audrey is a Partner and head of our Licensing Division, having joined the practice in 2007. She specialises in all types of licensing work across industry sectors and handles a range of licensing matters, including gambling, civic government and liquor work. She is a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Specialist in Liquor Licensing Law.
She sits on the influential Law Society of Scotland Licensing Law Sub-Committee and has recently been appointed to the Government Steering Group responsible for developing the new Scottish Certificate for Personal Licenceholder training.
Audrey is ranked as a Band 1 Licensing Solicitor in the 2018 Chambers Guide and is described by sources as "thorough and knowledgeable, with an ever-growing wealth of experience." Clients note that her "knowledge of licensing is exceptional," adding: "She knows what the different licensing boards are looking for and can tailor her presentation accordingly”
Audrey works with both multinational and independent operators. Recent successes include a multimillion pound Scotland wide estate extension for a major off-sales retailer and advising an exciting startup on a new innovative venue.
Away from business, Audrey has hands on experience of a licensed arts venue in her position as a Director of Glasgow’s Tron Theatre.
